We are delighted to invite you to 4th IBA Mergers and Acquisitions in Russia and CIS Conference, proven to be one of the most significant events related to M&A practice in the Russian and foreign business market.

In 2011, 270 mergers and acquisitions resulting in the change or appearance of a majority owner, were registered in the Russian M&A market.  Market volume subsequently reached $17.39 billion. Foreign investors remain interested in Russian assets; however, due to the unsecure nature of some of the world’s largest economies it is clear that there is a ‘wait-and-see’ attitude among financiers.

From this, many pertinent questions arise for potential investors; shall we wait for a considerable increase in market volumes in 2012-2013? Which factors have the strongest effect on the development of the M&A market in Russia and the CIS? In which economic sectors is M&A activity expected to be the highest? Which amendments will be made to the corporate and antitrust legislation this year?
